Moo approach to promoting recycling

June 13, 2007 · 3 Comments

The arrival of a herd of recycling bins painted to look like cows in a field alongside the M5 has raised a few eyebrows.

Apparently, the scheme is designed to encourage people to recycling. The bins will be given to Primary Schools later in the year for schoolkids to use. According to green boffins the children like “feeding the cows” with their recycling.

Whatever the merits of this particular idea, it has undeniably attracted some attention!

Great idea, but stitting in tailbacks on the M5
both ways is both frustrating and dangerous!

couldn’t believe the tailbacks on 17th June at 6pm caused by this ! A bit irresponsible to place by busy motorway-likely to cause accidents I fear. Must be a less dangerous spot to display this surely?

Having sat in a cow-induced jam myself on Friday 15th it does seem to be causing a few problems. It seems that others agree and the bins are to be removed. A good idea and a bit of common sense in responding to the problems.
